Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a senior leader for the Sponsored Products and Brands Gen AI team. You will hire, mentor, and guide applied scientists to build generative AI solutions that improve ad campaigns, recommendations, and customer experiences at scale.

You will drive research and practical deployment of Gen AI/ML techniques, collaborating across Amazon Ads to balance innovation with responsible AI and business impact.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of applied research experience.
• 3+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience.
• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in STEM, or equivalent benchmarks for GenAI model performance.
• Deep curiosity and basic knowledge on Gen AI.

Responsibilities

• Hire and develop a team of high-performing applied scientists for Gen AI solutions.
• Lead and mentor scientists; roll up sleeves and invent Gen AI solutions.
• Build recommendation systems using generative models for campaigns.
• Research and apply latest Gen AI and ML techniques and best practices.
• Use analytical techniques to create scalable business solutions.
• Establish structures enabling the team to solve complex problems and deliver results.
