Job summary

Brilliant Earth is seeking a proactive Assistant Manager to support procurement and vendor relations at our Secaucus, NJ distribution center. The role focuses on gemstones procurement, vendor management, and inventory control within a responsible sourcing framework.

The position is onsite in Secaucus, NJ with a targeted budget of $70k-$80k. You will collaborate across departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate gemology degree preferred.
• Industry experience in gems and diamonds required.
• Experience with vendor management, supply chain operations, or production in a product, retail, or eCommerce environment.
• Robust computer skills with a strong working knowledge of ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement of gemstone purchases.
• Help manage day-to-day vendor interactions and develop relationships with partners.
• Support escalation management and work with vendors who share responsible sourcing commitments.
• Coordinate tasks to maintain strong vendor networks.
• Assist with planning and maintaining optimal inventory levels across the gemstone department.
• Collaborate with sales, production, and fulfillment teams for accurate inventory tracking.
• Support recruiting, training, and development of team members.
• Contribute to systems, policies, and procedures for efficient operations.
• Ensure procurement practices meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Support adherence to responsible and traceable supply chain practices.
