Job summary

Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services is seeking a Cloud Platforms and Infrastructure Engineer to guide secure foundational cloud implementations and automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications. You will help migrate, build, modernize, and maintain applications in GCP while collaborating with Product Management and Product Engineering.

US salary range listed: 152000 - 222000 USD plus 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
6+ years of experience in networking, compute infrastructure and cloud solutions in virtualized environments.
6+ years of experience in project management and technical solution delivery.
Experience coding in one or more general‑purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C, C++).
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time for client engagements.

Responsibilities

Propose solution architectures and manage the deployment of cloud networking solutions according to customer requirements and implementation best practices.
Design and implement cloud-based architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations to enable business objectives.
Collaborate with internal specialists, product, and engineering teams to package approaches, best practices, and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.
Inter Act with sales, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage scope, priorities, deliverables, risks and issues, and timelines for successful client outcomes.
