Job summary

Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services is seeking a Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineer in San Francisco to guide customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and provide best practices for secure, automated cloud provisioning and scalable architectures.

You will work with Product Management and Engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud products, while helping customers migrate, build, and modernize applications on GCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, CI/CD with Kubernetes and Linux-based systems.
• 3 years of experience in project management and technical solution delivery.
• Experience coding in Python, Java, Go, C or C++, including data structures, algorithms and Linux environments.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Ability to travel 30% of the time for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Propose solution architectures and deploy cloud networking solutions per requirements and best practices.
• Design and implement cloud-based technical architectures and migration approaches to meet business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal Specialists, Product, and Engineering to publish methodologies and assets.
• Coordinate with sales, partners, and customer stakeholders to define scope, priorities, and timelines.
• Travel up to 30% for in-region meetings, reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
