Job summary

Wilmington Trust seeks a deal-closer and client-facing deal manager to negotiate and close transactions in a Trustee capacity. You will coordinate with internal teams, meet clients, and support business development while ensuring regulatory compliance and proper risk management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or a total of 7 years in higher education/work history with substantial experience in GCM closing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ related experience, or a combined 7 years of higher education and/or work experience with at least 3 years in related roles.
• GCM deal closing experience is required.
• Corporate Trust experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and close transactions where Wilmington Trust acts as Trustee and in related roles.
• Serve as client-facing centralized deal manager for transactions.
• Meet with clients and attend conferences as appropriate.
• Assist Sales with business development and coordinate deal structures by asset type.
• Coordinate internal liaison for all support groups around deal closings.
• Address escalated client issues and escalate as needed per client size and risk.
