M&T Bank in Minneapolis seeks an experienced deal-closer and client-facing deal manager for transactions where M&T serves as Trustee and related roles. You will coordinate with internal teams and lead complex deal closings from start to finish.

You will meet clients, support business development, and ensure compliance with risk standards while adapting to asset-specific structures and regulatory expectations.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years related experience, or 7+ years combined education/work with at least 3 years related experience.
• MBA or JD degree preferred.
• GCM deal closing experience and Corporate Trust background considered a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret legal documents and understand risk controls.
• Pay range for the role is $106,700.00 - $177,900.00 annually (USD).

Overview:

Negotiates transaction deal documents and facilitates deal closings in a timely manner for smaller and mid-tier Global Capital Markets (GCM) clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

Negotiate and close transactions in which Wilmington Trust serves in a Trustee capacity as well as other complementary roles and products.

• Serve as client-facing centralized deal manager for transactions for internal operational and support groups.
• Meet with clients and attend some conferences as deemed appropriate.
• Assist Sales with business development initiatives and coordinate deal structures depending on asset type.
• Serve as internal liaison for all support groups surrounding deal closings.
• Address escalated client issues and ensure they are prioritized appropriately and resolved.
• May elevate client issues to Transaction Leaders based on client size and possible risk.
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

This position works on a team of individual contributors under management supervision.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ related experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Minimum of 5 years’ related experience

GCM deal closing experience

Corporate Trust experience

Ability to read and interpret legal documents

Strong legal background
