Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest in Tustin, CA is seeking a SVOA GCMS Chemist I to prepare and analyze environmental samples following EPA protocols. The role involves GC/GC-MS analysis, data evaluation, backlog management, and LIMS data uploads.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year GC/GC-MS experience, a BS in chemistry (or 3 years substitution), and strong English communication. The position is full-time with overtime and an evening shift.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience operating a GC or GCMS in a production laboratory setting.
• BS or BA in chemistry or related field; 3 years laboratory experience may substitute for a degree
• Effective time management and multitasking skills
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Proficient reading/writing/speaking in English

Responsibilities

• Extract and prepare samples for GC/GC-MS analysis.
• Evaluate chromatography and mass spectra for qualitative and quantitative criteria.
• Monitor backlog to meet client program requirements.
• Upload and peer review data in LIMS.
• Maintain instrument calibrations per QA/QC requirements.
• Communicate status with teams and management.
• Perform general housekeeping and safe lab practices.
