Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest, Calscience in Tustin CA is seeking a VOA GC Chemist I to prepare and analyze environmental samples following EPA protocols and Eurofins QA programs. You will handle water and soil samples, evaluate GC data, and ensure timely, accurate results.

The role requires 1+ year GC experience, a BS/BA in chemistry or related field, strong English skills, and the ability to work independently within a safety-conscious lab. Full-time with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years operating a GC in an academic or production lab setting.
• BS or BA in chemistry or related field; 3 years lab experience may substitute for a degree.
• Effective time management and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare water and soil samples for GC analysis.
• Evaluate chromatography for qualitative and quantitative criteria.
• Monitor backlog workload to meet client program requirements.
• Upload and peer review data using LIMS.
• Perform basic instrument maintenance and calibration checks.
• Maintain QAQC standards and environmental health and safety practices.
