Job summary

Fogo de Chão in Virginia Beach is hiring Gaucho Chefs to prepare and grill traditional churrasco meats. You will portion, garnish, and present dishes in the gaucho style while answering guest questions about churrasco culture. Maintain grill area cleanliness and handle shift start/end duties.

Qualifications

• Must be able to transport objects up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand for long periods and work at a quick pace
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook special cuts of beef and other meats according to traditional Brazilian churrasco recipes.
• Season and grill food according to prescribed traditional method and guests' requests.
• Portion, garnish and present to patrons in the gaucho style.
• Answer guests' questions concerning churrasco-style food and convey gaucho culture and demeanor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the grill area.
• Complete any beginning or closing shift duties.
