Job summary

DHL Express is hiring a Gateway Clearance Supervisor to verify tariffs, price conversions, weight and volume of goods exported/imported. The role involves reviewing invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to ensure compliance with federal and international regulations across DHL facilities.

The successful candidate will manage a ~30-person team, hire and coach staff, and drive performance against clear service standards and KPIs in a fast-paced gateway environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA required in related field; 3–5 years of experience with supervisory duties.
• Strong understanding of federal and foreign regulations governing shipments.
• Experience with training, coaching, and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Manages customs clearance activities in the gateway environment efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Ensures compliance with regulations governing shipment and documentation of products.
• Establishes policies and service standards for customs clearance operations.
• Meets key performance indicators for the product area.
• Supervises ~30 staff with two direct reports; hires, coaches and develops team.
