Job summary

Sedgebrook in Lincolnshire, IL, is hiring a Gatehouse Attendant for weekend coverage from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The role verifies and documents guests, visitors, vendors and contractors entering the property, and assists with traffic direction on campus.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of gatehouse or security experience, can follow English instructions, perform basic arithmetic, and possess computer skills.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of gatehouse and/or security experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Verify and document the scheduled presence of all guests, visitors, vendors and third-party contractors entering the property.
• Log in every person that enters the property and direct traffic on campus property.
• Log daily activities of security staff (interior/exterior patrols and emergency calls).
• Maintain dependability and punctuality per Attendance policy; may perform other duties as assigned.

General Summary:

The Gatehouse Attendant is responsible for verifying and documenting the scheduled presence of all guests, visitors, vendors and third-party contractors entering the property.

Essential Job Duties:

• Logs in every person that enters the property, such as guests, contractors, vendors, etc, and directs traffic on campus property.
• Logs in the times of the daily activities of security staff within the community (interior, exterior patrols and emergency calls).
• Attendance is essential to this job. Must also maintain dependability and punctuality as outlined in Attendance policy.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
