Job summary

Valley Gates is seeking a Field Service Technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain automatic gate and access control systems in the Las Vegas area.

The role involves significant manual labor outdoors, lifting, and basic vehicle and shop maintenance. Training is available for candidates from related trades, and safety inspections are required year-round.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. and work outdoors in extreme heat and varying weather conditions
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automatic gate operators and access control systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage issues.
• Install gate operators and related equipment.
• Perform manual labor as needed, including digging with a shovel.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Complete service reports and communicate professionally with customers and office staff.
• Perform basic maintenance of company vehicle.
• Assist with shop maintenance, organization, cleanup, and other duties as assigned.
