Job summary

Washington Gas is seeking a Gate Station Technician I to support the safe operation and maintenance of gate station facilities and pressure regulating equipment. Under supervision, you will operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and install less complex equipment used at GSO facilities.

You will assist in station operations, perform inspections, installations, and routine maintenance, and handle related administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 months of hands-on technical experience in a related field.
• Must pass entrance testing and complete training milestones within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operations of GSO facilities.
• Maintain and repair GSO facility equipment and machinery.
• Operate valves as required.
• Perform station inspections.
• Install tubing, conduit, wiring, piping, and framework for GSO facilities.
• Interpret maps, drawings, and work orders.
• Communicate effectively via company radio and instructions.
• Stock and prepare company vehicles.
• Support safety and housekeeping duties.
