Job summary

WGL Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Gate Station Technician I to support safe operation and maintenance of gate station facilities and related equipment. Under supervision, you will operate, calibrate, troubleshoot and install basic equipment used at GSO facilities.

The role requires 18 months of hands-on technical experience, basic drawing interpretation, and the ability to work shifts, including travel. CDL holders may be required to undergo additional testing per regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Working knowledge of mathematics, physics and electronics.
• Must pass Criteria assessment prior to hiring.
• Formal technical training preferred.
• Minimum 18 months of hands-on technical experience in mechanical trades, manufacturing equipment, pumps, compressors, or related fields.
• CDL holders are subject to testing under Federal Highway Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operations of GSO facilities.
• Assist in maintenance work on GSO facility equipment and machinery.
• Operate valves as required.
• Perform station inspections and yard/building maintenance.
• Install tubing, conduit, wiring, and framework for GSO facilities.
• Interpret company records and drawings to support work.
• Communicate effectively via radio and other instructions.
• Stock and equip company vehicles and maintain tools and equipment.
