ADESA is hiring for a gate security role to protect the facility, interact with customers and vendors, and support inventory control. You will patrol gates, verify authorized access, and resolve issues with a focus on safety and service.

The position emphasizes standing, outdoor conditions, and daily data entry, with opportunities to grow within an expanding organization and participate in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Previous Security experience preferred.
• Customer Service experience.
• Requires computer data entry skills.
• Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Secure all gates and buildings and patrol the premises. Sound alarms and notify authorities in case of emergency.
• Verify only authorized individuals enter the property. Provide facility directions to customers, vendors and transporters.
• Check gate passes to ensure vehicles are authorized to exit property.
• Check departing vehicles to guard against theft of company property.
• Greet customers at the gate and provide prompt and courteous service. Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• When difficult situations arise, de-escalate situations to ensure we win with partners and collaborate on the forefront.
• Watch and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes and doors left unsecured.
