Job summary

Covenant Logistics is seeking a Gate Clerk to serve as the first and last point of contact for inbound and outbound loads at a customer facility. The role may involve rotating shifts and requires attention to security, accurate data entry, and strong communication.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years in administration and customer service, and familiarity with shipping, receiving, and HighJump WMS. Transportation or warehouse experience is preferred.

• Fast-paced and changing environment experience required.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and data recording skills.
• Knowledge of shipping/receiving requirements.
• Experience in transportation or warehouse settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound and outbound loads.
• Check in and maintain security with outside carriers.
• Perform yard audits as needed.
• Keep accurate records of all inbound and outbound trailers.
• Check seals and numbers on all inbound/outbound trailers.
• Gate management and perimeter reporting tasks.
• Prioritize and process Inbound/Outbound paperwork and BOLs.
• Assist in maintaining consistent freight flow for timely processing.
