Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking a Gate Attendant to greet visitors, vendors and residents, direct them to destinations, and gather visitor information for follow-up by the sales office. You will also log unusual occurrences, hand out promotional materials, answer calls, and assist with maintenance requests as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and a valid driver's license, with flexibility to work events outside regular hours and to read maps.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email and internet use.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work events outside business hours.
• Ability to read maps and navigate.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, vendors, contractors, residents and prospective buyers and direct them to destinations.
• Collect information from non-residents/guests and forward to sales office for follow-up within 24 hours.
• Note unusual occurrences on daily logs and maintain accuracy.
• Distribute promotional materials to prospective guests and residents.
• Answer phones courteously and prepare pre-call sheets for the next day.
• Submit maintenance requests for issues like electrical, sewer and water problems as needed.
• Greet and register late arriving guests when applicable.
• Inspect buildings, turn off lights, lock doors and gates, monitor the community for deficiencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
