Per Mar Security Services is hiring Security Officers for a home improvement store setting in the Midwest. You will oversee gate access, verify order pickups, and inspect vehicles entering the facility to deter theft and ensure safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid State Security Officer License, and a valid driver's license with a clean record. Technical training or related education is preferred, along with prior security experience and strong integrity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• State Security Officer License is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Technical training or college education in a related field is preferred.
• Previous security officer experience is preferred; attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Integrity, communication, excellent service, and accountability are valued.

Responsabilités

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers entering/exiting the back lot.
• Check accuracy of orders picked up by customers exiting the facility.
• Thoroughly examine vehicles as they enter and note items.
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule violations.
• Walk the yard twice per shift and report suspicious activity or crimes.
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.

Job Skills / Requirements

Per Mar Security is looking for qualified candidates for gate Security Officers in a home improvement store setting. The best candidates will be comfortable working independently. You are detail oriented and will have basic technology skills including the ability to operate a tablet. M-F: 6am - 2pm.

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers coming in and out of the back lot of the facility
• Check accuracy of orders picked up as customers leave the facility
• Thoroughly examine vehicles as they enter the premises and make note of existing items within vehicles
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Twice per shift, walk the yard and report any suspicious activities or criminal acts
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations

What you'll need:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• State Security Officer License
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Technical training or college education in the related field (preferred)
• Previous experience as a security officer (preferred- Attendance / Punctuality are a must
