Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking entry level and experienced Security Officers to join our expanding team in the Grayslake area. The role includes monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and maintaining a secure environment for clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Background check must be clean.
• Experience in security is preferred.
• Training is preferred.
• Security guard license is preferred.
• Strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Inspect doors, windows, and gates for proper function and security.
• Warn violators and address suspicious or criminal acts.
• Report facility issues and coordinate with security personnel as needed.
• Participate in pre-employment screening processes (drug screen & background).

• Required Training is preferred

• $19.10 an hour Monday - Friday.
• 25 years of age or older
• Familiarity with security equipment

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules- Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security- Warn violators of premise rules and regulations- Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts- Report any facility issues- Request emergency personnel for high risk situations - Familiarity with security equipment- Ability to handle physical workload- Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.- Assume responsibility for understanding and complying with Per Mar Security Services attendance expectations.- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by interacting with the Per Mar Security Services internal/external customers (including, but not limited to: current customers, prospective customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, supervisors and management) in a mutually respectful manner regardless of race, colour, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation and all other protected classes.
