Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking gate Security Officers for a home improvement store setting. You will monitor entry points, control access, and inspect vehicles to ensure safety and security for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Experience as a security officer preferred.
• Must demonstrate integrity, communication, service and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers entering the back lot.
• Check accuracy of orders picked up as customers leave the facility.
• Thoroughly examine vehicles entering the premises and note items.
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Walk the yard twice per shift and report suspicious activities or criminal acts.
• Address individuals engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.

Job Skills / Requirements

Per Mar Security is looking for qualified candidates for gate Security Officers in a home improvement store setting. The best candidates will be comfortable working independently. You are detail oriented and will have basic technology skills including the ability to operate a tablet. M-F: $19.00/HR SAT-SUN: $20.00/HR

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers coming in and out of the back lot of the facility
• Check accuracy of orders picked up as customers leave the facility
• Thoroughly examine vehicles as they enter the premises and make note of existing items within vehicles
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Twice per shift, walk the yard and report any suspicious activities or criminal acts
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or GED. - State Security Officer License
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record. - Technical training or college education in the related field (preferred)
