Job summary

Avera Gastroenterology in Sioux Falls is seeking a qualified physician to provide and manage direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care within gastroenterology. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and health education.

The role emphasizes collaboration with care teams, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, ongoing documentation, and active participation in patient referrals and care planning.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with state license and board eligibility/certification
• Active medical license in the state where services are provided
• DEA license required at hire or upon start date

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients per approved protocol and standards.
• Provide medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Interpret diagnostic information and plan patient care.

Education

Medical Doctor - Board of Medicine Licensed and board certified/board eligible

Doctor of Osteopathy - Board of Medicine Licensed and board eligible

Federal Drug Enforcement Admin license
