Job summary

Avera is seeking a Medical Doctor to provide and manage direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice in Sioux Falls.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in the state where services are provided.
• Board-certified or board-eligible.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients per approved protocols.
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Interprets diagnostic information and plans patient care.
• Maintains patient records with accurate information.
• Promotes safety and aseptic practices in patient care.
• Collaborates with care team and makes appropriate referrals.
• Ensures compliance with applicable policies and standards.
