Job summary

Gastroenterology-Specialties, PC is seeking a compassionate RN or LPN to support patient education, care coordination, and clinical documentation. The role centers on telephone triage and direct patient interactions in a clinic setting.

You will triage calls, gather information, educate patients, and collaborate with physicians and the care team. Hybrid remote work may be available after training and successful independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient calls, messages, pharmacy requests, and communications from hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare providers.
• Gather patient information, assess concerns, and communicate findings to the physician for review and direction.
• Coordinate patient care by carrying out provider orders and documenting appropriately in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients regarding medications, test results, treatment plans, and procedure preparation instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to ensure timely completion of patient care tasks.
• Provide clinic coverage as needed, including rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting with patient care activities.
• Complete pre-procedure assessments, checklists, and preparation reviews for scheduled procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection prevention, safety, and organizational policies.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on exceptional patient experiences.
