Job summary

HonorHealth seeks a Medical Assistant to provide front and back office support at the Deer Valley Gastro Clinic in Phoenix. You will escort patients, maintain exam rooms, and assist providers during exams to ensure smooth patient flow.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and MA training; BLS and a Fingerprint Clearance Card are required. CMA or equivalent certification preferred; a sign-on bonus up to $2,500 is offered. Hours are Mon-Fri 8:30–4:30.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an MA training program required.
• 6 months MA experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or similar preferred; certification reimbursement may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provides front and back office support to staff and patients.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and maintains clean, stocked rooms.
• Gathers patient history, records vitals, and assists with exams.
• Answers calls, schedules appointments and relays messages to providers.
• Performs related clerical tasks and supports care coordination.
