Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Gastroenterology Technician to join the GI Lab team at UHS Binghamton General Hospital. The role supports diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, maintains infection control, and ensures safe patient care.

Primary duties include preparing rooms, assisting gastroenterologists, reprocessing equipment, and collaborating with clinical staff to optimize workflow in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: GI Technical Specialist (GTS) online course.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• Previous patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and assist during GI procedures.
• Anticipate provider needs during procedures.
• Reprocess endoscopic equipment per guidelines.
• Maintain clean and sterile supplies.
• Support efficient workflow in the GI Lab.
