Job summary

Katmai Endoscopy Services in San Diego seeks an experienced Endoscopy Technician to assist physicians during GI procedures, maintain sterile technique, prepare and calibrate equipment, and monitor patients throughout procedures. You will support EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, ultrasound, and other endoscopic interventions, set up monitoring devices, and ensure safe, efficient operation in a clinical setting.

Requires associate degree, 1 year gastroenterology experience, BLS, and ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in gastroenterology services within the last 2 years.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Must obtain and maintain necessary security access/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist GI physicians in endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS).
• Maintain sterile technique and prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and supplies.
• Set up and calibrate monitoring devices and endoscopy equipment.
• Provide patient care and support before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist with capsule endoscopy, manometry, and other specialized tests as needed.
• Coordinate with Radiology for X-ray/fluoroscopy as required.
