Job summary

Katmai Government Services in San Diego is seeking a dedicated Endoscopy Support Specialist to assist physicians during GI procedures, maintain sterile technique, and ensure readiness of instruments and rooms. You will coordinate supplies, monitor patient safety, and support the clinical team throughout complex endoscopic cases.

You will prepare patients, operate and calibrate endoscopy equipment, monitor during procedures, and participate in a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's degree.
• Minimum 1 year of gastroenterology services experience (endoscopy/colonoscopy) within the last two years.
• Active BLS Certification required.
• Must obtain and maintain required security access and/or background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist GI or surgeon during diagnostic, therapeutic, and emergency endoscopic procedures.
• Prepare patients, instruments, and procedure rooms while maintaining sterile technique.
• Set up and calibrate specialized endoscopy equipment and monitoring devices.
• Support post-procedure care and document results for physician review.
