Job summary

Katmai is seeking an Endoscopy Aide to assist GI physicians during diagnostic, therapeutic, and emergency endoscopic procedures in our San Diego facilities. You will prepare patients, equipment, and rooms, maintain sterile technique, and support the team throughout complex cases.

The role requires an Associate’s degree, 1 year of gastroenterology experience, and an active BLS certification, with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• At least 1 year of gastroenterology endoscopy/colonoscopy experience in the last 2 years.
• Active BLS certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security access/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist GI surgeons in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Set up and maintain sterile technique and prepare equipment.
• Prepare rooms, sterilize, and restock supplies.
• Operate monitoring devices and assist with capsule endoscopy and ERCP as needed.
• Provide patient care before, during, and after procedures.
