Cook County Health’s Gastroenterology department seeks an Attending Physician XII to lead patient care in GI and Liver disorders at John H. Stroger Hospital. The role involves performing and supervising GI procedures and educating Residents and Fellows.

The position requires MD/DO, Illinois license or eligibility, ACGME GI and Internal Medicine training, and ABIM GI certification or board eligibility within two years. Strong GI procedural experience is essential.

Qualifikationen

• MD/DO and board credentials; licensure in Illinois required or ability to obtain.
• ACGME-accredited gastroenterology training required.
• ACGME-accredited internal medicine training required.
• Board certification in GI or board-eligibility with certification within 2 years.

Aufgaben

• Provides consultation and follow-up to patients with gastroenterological problems at Cook County Health (CCH) hospitals and clinics.
• Provides liver consultations to patients at Cook County Health (CCH).
• Educates and guides Residents and Fellows in appropriate management of gastroenterological problems.
• Performs emergency assignments, as needed.
• Provides services at Provident, as needed.
• Provides on-call services.
