Cook County Health is seeking an Attending Physician XII in the Gastroenterology department to oversee patient care for GI and liver disorders and to supervise GI procedures. The role includes education of Residents and Fellows and on-call coverage across CCH facilities.

The candidate must be an MD/DO, hold or be eligible for IL licensure, and complete required ACGME Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine training with ABIM GI certification (or board eligibility within two years).

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Licensed physician in Illinois or ability to obtain licensure before start.
• ACGME Gastroenterology fellowship completed.
• ACGME Internal Medicine residency completed.
• ABIM GI board certification or board eligible within 2 years.

Responsabilités

• Provide GI consultation and follow-up for GI and liver disorders.
• Perform and supervise GI procedures and liver biopsies.
• Educate and guide Residents and Fellows in patient management.
• Provide on-call services and emergency coverage.
• Work across Cook County Health hospitals and Provident as needed.
• Maintain high standards of care per hospital protocols.
