Job summary

Nassau GI Group is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist for a well-established, physician-led group in Nassau County, Long Island. This position emphasizes outpatient GI care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and a high-volume patient population.

The role offers flexible hours, Monday–Friday, with no on-call requirements. Strong emphasis on preventive care, including colorectal cancer screening, and opportunities for leadership within the practice.

Qualifications

• Board-certified gastroenterologist or eligible with clear path to certification.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in New York State.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with patient-centered approach to care.
• Proven ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient gastroenterology care.
• Perform colonoscopies and EGDs and interpret results.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons and oncologists.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating meds and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and patient safety.
• Promote colorectal cancer screening and liver disease management.
• Participate in ongoing medical education and practice improvement.
