Job summary

A well-established physician-led gastroenterology group in Nassau County, Long Island, seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a growing team.

The practice offers a highly competitive compensation package ($375,000 - $475,000 per year) with flexible hours, no call, and a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment focused on quality care and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Active Board Certification (or Board Eligibility with a clear path to certification) in Gastroenterology.
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.
• Proven ability to maintain and grow a local clinical practice is required.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality gastroenterology care as a key clinical provider.
• Perform comprehensive history taking, physical exams, and interpret diagnostics.
• Outpatient-focused role in a multi-specialty group with high-volume GI practice.
• Diagnose and manage GI disorders including IBD, IBS, liver disease, motility disorders, biliary diseases.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with pharmacological and lifestyle strategies.
• Perform colonoscopies and EGDs with accurate documentation in EMR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, oncologists, and PCPs.
• Promote colorectal cancer screening and liver disease prevention.
• Engage in ongoing medical education and practice improvement.
