Job summary

Key People in Nassau County, Long Island is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join their growing, physician-led practice. The role is outpatient-focused with flexible hours, Monday–Friday, no call, and involves high-volume GI care including colonoscopies and EGDs.

Candidates should be NY licensed (or eligible), have strong diagnostic and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset to build and sustain a thriving patient base.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
• Licensed or eligible for New York State licensure.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to grow a patient base.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, comprehensive gastroenterology care as a key clinical provider.
• Perform and interpret colonoscopies and EGDs to detect GI pathologies early.
• Conduct thorough clinical assessments with history taking and physical exams.
• Manage a high-volume, outpatient GI practice within a multi-specialty group.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including medications and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Promote colorectal cancer screening and chronic liver disease management.
• Engage in ongoing medical education and practice improvement.
