Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in Waynesville, NC seeks a Gastroenterologist to join a hospital-employed, multi-specialty practice with a flexible schedule. The role blends clinic and hospital procedures and offers mentorship with BC Gastroenterologist Dr.

Filberto Colon. This position provides advanced endoscopy, ERCP capabilities, dedicated endoscopy suite, and comprehensive benefits with relocation, sign-on, CME and loan repayment support; Lifepoint Health backing.

Qualifications

• Gastroenterologist with broad GI clinical skills and interest in hospital-based procedures.
• Experience or interest in ERCP and endoscopic techniques is desirable.
• Eligible for board certification in gastroenterology or board-certified in GI.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive GI clinic and hospital-based care.
• Perform endoscopic procedures including ERCP as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Collaborate with dedicated Endoscopy Suite staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in a hospitalist program and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

• General GI and ERCP equipment available: Conmed Bicap 3 snare, Endostat 3, EndoStratus irrigation, Olympus Series 190 scopes for Colon, EGD, and ERCP
• Dedicated Endoscopy Suite with experienced staff
• Clinic EMR: Athena, Hospital EMR: Paragon
• 24/7/365 Hospitalist program
