Job Description: Construction Laborer

• $22-$24/hr depending on experience
• Monday - Friday, 6:30 to 2:30 pm with OT available
• This position is based out of Pittston and surrounding areas

Job Description: A laborer is required to perform intensive physical construction duties such as hand digging, utilizing various tools around underground utilities for service and main work. This includes digging trenches and backfilling. The worker must be physically capable of all assigned tasks, possess proficient safety skills, produce quality workmanship, and be trustworthy. Obtain UGI operator qualifications within one year.

Responsibilities:

• Operate construction equipment like dump trucks, tampers, generators, air compressors, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness and check fluids and fittings of all operated vehicles/equipment daily.
• Understand hazards of working around natural gas and heavy equipment, following all safety precautions.
• Communicate effectively with team members and foreman.
• Lift and carry materials, use hand and power tools.
• Hand dig with shovels and digging bars.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Travel to different locations within UGI territory as needed, at own expense.
• Follow safety standards, utilize Stop Work/Time Out when necessary.
• Pass and maintain UGI operator qualifications annually.
• Conduct work safely, independently, and as part of a team.
