Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team in Greenville, SC. You will support the design, development, and execution of accessory fluid systems and mechanical packages for new unit projects.

You will perform engineering calculations, help prepare drawings and specifications, and collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, and Manufacturing teams to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 0–1 year of relevant engineering/manufacturing experience.
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and analyze data.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Team-oriented collaborator.

Responsibilities

• Support design of accessory fluid systems and mechanical packages for new unit projects.
• Follow Safety by Design and EHS standards.
• Create system architectures, layouts, specifications, and design docs.
• Perform calculations and analyses for design, sizing, and verification.
• Prepare and review drawings, schematics, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet schedule and cost goals.
• Assist in resolving technical issues during design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
