Job summary

Dow in Lake Jackson, TX, is seeking a Research Scientist to join a high-performing R&D team focused on Gas Treating and Carbon Capture. The role offers opportunities for project leadership, direct customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration across global regions.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering or related field required; PhD preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience; 5+ years preferred.
• US work eligibility; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Model gas treating plant processes using amines and glycol-based solvents.
• Develop expertise in gas treating process simulation with ProComp and other platforms.
• Perform technoeconomic analyses including capital and operating cost estimates.
• Create process design packages per established engineering practices and guidelines.
• Coordinate with Research, Technical Sales & Development, Commercial and Marketing teams.
• Interface with lab teams for properties data and pilot plant facilities.
• Monitor market trends and contribute to intellectual property and project portfolios.
• Support ideation and pipeline development for global R&D projects.
