Job summary

Washington Gas is seeking a Transmission Engineer (Level I–IV) to design and support transmission and high-pressure pipelines. The role spans route analysis, project design, cost estimating, permitting, and construction oversight within the Engineering group and Gas Transportation.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil) and strong MS Office/data skills, plus experience building relationships with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil) required or preferred.
• Proven ability to establish rapport with internal/external partners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for data management, research, analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage transmission and high-pressure pipeline projects including route analysis, design, cost estimating, permitting and acquisition.
• Provide civil/structural support and engineering design for the Engineering group and GT Unit.
• Develop and justify annual capital budgets; provide MOS reports and schedule forecasts.
• Support development/update of O&M procedures and Design & Construction standards; assist with large-scale projects.
