Job summary
Delta Utilities seeks an Engineer I/II/III/Sr. to support natural gas distribution and transmission system planning, hydraulic modeling, and DIMP/TIMP data upkeep. You will develop capital budgets, maintain standards, and provide technical guidance to field teams in safety, compliance, and project execution.
This role requires strong analytical ability, knowledge of gas laws, GIS, AutoCAD, and hydraulic analysis software, plus effective communication with management and operations staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 0–2 years for Engineer I; 2+ years for Engineer II; 4+ years for Engineer III; 6+ years for Engineer Sr.
- Knowledge of natural gas distribution and transmission operations and procedures.
- Proficiency in gas laws, drafting standards, and analysis software.
- Strong communication, budgeting, and project management abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead safety culture and provide coaching to staff.
- Produce reports/presentations on technical topics and business cases.
- Ensure gas compliance and provide expertise on PHMSA 191/192/199.
- Develop and update DIMP/TIMP models and mitigation plans.
- Perform hydraulic analysis, volume/pressure calculations, and gas composition checks.
- Prepare design specs for natural gas equipment, systems, and software.
- Support capital budgeting and long-range planning.
