Technology Navigators in Austin, TX is seeking a Gas Engineering Team Lead to own and optimize specialty and bulk gas equipment in a high-tech manufacturing environment. You will lead a small team of about 9 engineers and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and vendor partners to ensure top-tier equipment performance for manufacturing gas supplies.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and continuous improvement, with responsibilities including project planning, startup, commissioning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of direct operations experience with gas/chemical systems.
• Direct leadership experience preferred; safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and directly manage a team of ~9 engineers.
• Drive safety initiatives and world-class safety performance.
• Own gas systems, safety standards, and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot emergent equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance.
• Plan and execute non-standard maintenance and equipment upgrades.
• Provide cross-group technical support and issue resolution.
• Foster learning, development, and high engagement within the team.
