Job summary

Hope Gas Inc. is seeking a Town Plant Representative in Madison, WV. You will perform duties related to planning, installation and maintenance to provide safe gas service to residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

Responsibilities include restoring service, meters, safety checks, reporting, and strong customer communication. Requires a high school diploma, 2+ years in natural gas preferred, and a valid class D license with medical card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least two years of experience in the natural gas industry is preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a class D driver’s license with medical card.
• Successful completion of required testing.

Responsibilities

• Restore gas service and read meters as appropriate.
• Serve as first responder and respond to texts or calls.
• Investigate gas odors and CO using approved equipment.
• Lay service lines, set meters and regulators, and perform meter changes.
• Verify safe operation of gas-fired appliances.
• Report inquiries requiring further explanation.
• Perform minor repairs on lines and equipment.
• Check lines and meters for leaks or tampering.
• Promote good customer relations and recordkeeping.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE; participate in safety drills.
