Hope Gas is seeking a Town Plant Representative to install, operate, and maintain gas service for residential, commercial, and industrial customers across West Virginia. You will work on piping, regulators, meters, and coordinate safety and reliability with field crews.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of experience in the natural gas industry preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a class D driver’s license with medical card.
• Successful completion of required testing.

Responsibilities

• Restoring gas service, turning on/off gas service as needed and reading meters.
• Serves as first responder, available for calls and messages.
• Investigate odors of gas and carbon monoxide using approved equipment.
• Lay service lines, install meters and regulators, perform periodic meter changes.
• Verify safe operation of gas-fired appliances.
• Report consumer complaints requiring further explanation.
• Make minor repairs on lines and equipment.
• Check exposed lines and meters for leaks or tampering.
• Prepare records and reports electronically and on paper.
