Tenaska Marketing Ventures (TMV) is seeking a motivated Associate Gas Scheduling Analyst or Gas Scheduling Analyst to join our Gas Scheduling team in Omaha, NE. The title will depend on experience and qualifications.

This role develops knowledge and industry expertise to independently manage natural gas scheduling activities, including nominations, storage transactions, asset management agreements, and pipeline transportation arrangements to support TMV’s obligations.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work after normal hours and approximately one weekend per month.
• Travel: 0-10%.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Nominate natural gas purchases, sales and storage activities under transmission and storage agreements.
• Adhere to strict time constraints for original and intraday nominations; provide required information to transmission companies.
• Monitor gas transmission pipeline systems and rate/fuel information.
• Monitor natural gas imbalances and keep within acceptable limits.
• Enter nomination activity into TMV’s gas nomination system.
• Communicate deviations from scheduled nominations to TMV personnel and customers.
• Contribute to verification of accurate invoices from transmission companies.
