Job summary

Tenaska Marketing Ventures (TMV) is seeking a detail-oriented Gas Accountant to join our team in Omaha, NE. This role focuses on the accurate settlement of natural gas transactions, invoicing, reconciliations, and preparing internal and regulatory reports to support financial integrity.

You will collaborate across Commercial, Trading, Scheduling, Risk, and Accounting teams, investigate settlement discrepancies, and maintain data accuracy in the Gas Management System.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate supplier invoices to ensure accurate settlement of natural gas transactions.
• Partner with Trading, Scheduling, Contract Compliance, and other teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process payment requests and record cash receipts in GMS.
• Reconcile invoiced volumes to pipeline statements and maintain data integrity.
• Support reconciling GMS activity to the general ledger and assist with follow-ups.
