Job summary

Whitewater seeks a Gas Scheduler to perform wholesale natural gas scheduling in support of its Marketing & Logistics division. You will work directly with the trading desk to execute nominations, manage gas flows and ensure delivery across pipelines in the Lower 48 from Austin, TX.

The role requires experience scheduling for a merchant trading book and the ability to perform under pressure in a time-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of natural gas scheduling experience at a merchant marketing or trading company.
• Experience scheduling a trading book with intraday changes and coordination with traders.
• Knowledge of NAESB nomination cycles, pipeline tariffs, and EBBs.

Responsibilities

• Submit nominations for physical gas purchases, sales and transportation.
• Schedule transport, pooling, and storage activity to align with desk positions.
• Monitor pipeline constraints and adjust nominations to avoid penalties or imbalances.
• Confirm volumes and resolve scheduling discrepancies with pipelines and counterparties.
• Maintain records in the ETRM system (Allegro) and support risk, contracts and accounting teams.
• Stay informed on market fundamentals, weather, and pipeline events affecting flow.
