Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Plant Operator to operate, inspect and maintain compressors, pumps, and related gas processing equipment at our Texas facilities. You will monitor pressures, temperatures and flows, respond to alarms, and ensure safe, compliant operation in a 24/7 environment.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work shift rotations. Training may be required for PSM and operator certifications; prior experience levels range

Qualifications

• Must maintain valid driver's license in state of residency.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a group environment.
• Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgement.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, shift rotations, and perform call outs.
• Must be able to react to high stress/emergency situations in a deliberate, thoughtful, and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain plant equipment including cryogenic plants, pumps and compressors in a reliable and efficient manner.
• Seek to optimize processing through facility by maintaining proper product specifications.
• Respond to alarms and problems within the plant and take corrective measures.
• Monitor and control pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and levels to achieve desired results.
• Maintain trainings, policies, and procedures; pass required operator certifications when applicable.
• Coordinate with control centers, business groups and other operating groups as necessary.
• Oversee third party construction and/or maintenance activities.
