Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a field operations professional to manage the operation and maintenance of gas pipelines and compression facilities.

The role involves working with landowners and adjacent pipelines, and supervising third-party crews to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations. Responsibilities include valve and appurtenance work, site maintenance, project support, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office and other software.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer focus.
• Strong mechanical skills are needed.
• Available for shift work and standby when applicable.
• Ability to work with others as a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
• Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document, and complete work with a minimum of supervision.
• Ability to work with customers, suppliers, other operations groups, engineering staff, and management.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements.
• May be required to possess a commercial driver’s license, drive a company commercial vehicle and comply with all commercial vehicle regulations.
• May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties
• Achieve and maintain all Operator Qualifications and progression requirements applicable to the job classification.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pipelines and compression facilities.
• Install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipe, and appurtenances.
• Maintain facilities and pipelines right-of-way and storage areas.
• Support projects including excavation oversight, pigging support, leak surveys.
• Represent the Company with landowners, public officials, and at local meetings.
• Oversee construction/maintenance by third parties.
• Train and oversee contractors and visitors as needed.
• Perform governmental compliance activities (PHMSA, State Agencies, EPA).
• Identify and correct safety and environmental concerns.
• Participate in safety programs and develop procedures and work plans.
• Complete documentation and records in compliance with standards.
