Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• External candidates must pass EEI CAST test.
• Previous Meter Service Mechanic experience preferred.
• Must hold one of the listed licenses (S1/S2/S3/S4; S5/S6/S7/S8; P1/P2; D1/D2; G1/G2).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and to climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, adjust, and repair gas metering equipment for residential and commercial properties.
• Reconnect and disconnect gas services and service customer-owned appliances.
• Investigate gas odor complaints and high bill issues; perform repairs.
• Install, remove, and interchange various gas meters and ERT devices.
• Work on-call and respond to emergencies; rotate day and evening shifts.
