Job summary

Eversource is seeking a helper-level Field Service candidate in Connecticut to remove, repair, and install gas piping, respond to odor complaints, and operate heavy equipment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 60 lbs and on-call duties.

External candidates may need EEI CAST testing. Experience is preferred for helper level; DOT medical card and respirator fit are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• External candidates must pass EEI CAST testing.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• DOT Medical Card requirements and ability to wear respirator.

Responsibilities

• Remove, repair, replace and install gas piping of various sizes.
• Investigate and repair gas odor complaints.
• Operate pavement breakers and road-cutting equipment.
• Operate backhoe and dump truck.
• Perform walking leak surveys and underground mark outs.
• Drill and tap gas mains; respond to on-call emergencies.
