Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking an Assembler I to perform sub-assembly and assembly operations of basic complexity. You will prepare work by studying instructions, read blueprints, and gather parts and tools. You will position parts, assemble components, and ensure correct fit and quality.

You may assist with prototypes and other basic projects, while maintaining a safe environment and conserving resources. You will document actions and contribute to team training as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or combination of work experience.
• 0-1 year experience in manufacturing.
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Able to read drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Able to read and understand instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Study assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists to prepare work.
• Position parts using templates or measured readings.
• Assemble components and check fit and connections.
• Assist in prototypes or basic assembly outside production as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow procedures.
• Conserve resources in using tools and materials.
• Train others in basic assembly tasks as needed.
• Inspect finished work to meet requirements before next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
